The Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Exension Center in Waynesville hosts broccoli trials supervised by Jeanine Davis, Associate Professor and Extension Specialist with the Department of Horticulture at North Carolina State University. In addition to evaluating variety performance at a higher elevation, researchers here are investigating the potential for broccoli production in the Southern Appalachian region.
