Symposium Location

The symposium will be held in Geneva, New York, USA, location of Cornell University’s New York State Agricultural Experiment Station.  Geneva is a small and diverse city of 14,000 people located in the Finger Lakes Region, about 300 miles (480 km) from New York City and just 120 miles (190 km) from the world-famous Niagara Falls.

Along the shores of Lake Ontario north of Geneva is the main apple, pear, peach and cherry production region of New York. Lake Ontario is the easternmost of the chain of Great Lakes in North America.  Geneva is situated at the northern tip of Seneca Lake, and many vineyards along with nearly 100 wineries can be found surrounding this lake as well as the other Finger Lakes nearby.

Our meeting will take place at the Scandling Campus Center of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, a private college located in Geneva.
