    Leaves:

    • Deciduous
    • 1.75 to 2.5 inches long, 1 to 1.75 inches wide
    • Football-shaped
    • Teeth irregular and small but widely spaced
    • Dense stellate pubescence (star-like hairs) on underside
    • Petioles (leaf stem) short (less than .25 inch)

    Flowers:
    • Pink in bud, white when open
    • 2.5 to 3.25 inches wide, like half a big golf ball
    • Intensely fragrant
    Fruit:
    • Red maturing to black, August to September

    Viburnum carlesii
    Leaves 1 to 4 inches long, .75 to 2.5 inches wide, wide egg-shaped.
    Viburnum utile
    Leaves 1.5 to 2 inches long, .25 to 1.25 inches wide, margin entire (without teeth).
    Viburnum x burkwoodii
    Leaves 1.5 to 4 inches long, .75 to 1.75 inches wide, margin entire or with small irregular teeth.
