Mission
-
The Mission of the Cornell University vegetable production
research and extension program is to provide agriculture producers, policy makers
and the general public with current, science-based information on production practices
which promote the viability and economic sustainability of our vegetable industry,
while minimizing negative impacts on the natural resources of New York State.
Program Goals

Maintain and provide current information on recommended
varieties of vegetable crops for NYS climates and markets. -
Develop
production recommendations for alternative crops which show promise to increase
diversity of crops and markets. -
Provide information
based upon new research in the area of integrated crop production aimed at reducing
reliance on commercial fertilizers and pesticides |
