RESEARCH INTERESTS

Currently, I am conducting research under the "sustainable" umbrella - looking at the concept of weed thresholds in strawberry, management of replant disease in strawberries, examining the use of high tunnels to extend the fall raspberry season, and examining the interaction of soil compaction and replant disease in strawberry. Former graduate student projects will give you a sense of my research activities.

My graduate student, Rebecca Harbut, will be examining several biochemical components of the photosynthetic process in several strawberry species, and from representative genotypes across the last century of breeding.

My recent publications will give you a good sense of the range of activities that occur in my group.
