Projects and improvements since the nut grove's 'rediscovery' in 2002.

Summer 2002
- Honeysuckle cleared.
- Trail and step construction.
- Deer exclosures built.
- Selected trees removed (box elder).
Spring/Summer 2003
- Small fruit shade tolerance experiment planted.
- Logs inoculated with Shiitake and Stropharia mushroom spawn.
- Pawpaw seedlings planted.
- Division I cleared (walnut grove south of stream).
- Cankered walnut removed.
Fall 2003
Hort/Ntres/CSS 416: Practicum in Forest Farming class activities included:
- Raspberry planting.
- Pawpaw transplanting.
- Ginseng planting.
- More bridge and stair construction.
- Mushroom inoculation.
- Fire ring construction and first 'Forest Feast'.
Nut harvest and evaluation by the Northern Nut Growers Association.
Spring 2004
- Nut harvest line placement.
- Small fruit planting.
- Nut tree grafting.
