Highlights
Late fee for Walk-Ins the Day of Conference
A late fee of $50 in addition to regular conference costs will be charged to those either completing a new registration, or paying for an incomplete registration, on July 11.
Sustainable agriculture education initiatives have been developing independently across the country and the world for more than 30 years. Now is the time to learn from each other and share our resources to help build new programs, strengthen existing ones, and stimulate new ideas to move our educational models forward. With this in mind, we are soliciting knowledge, skills, and experiences as well as resources from participants in order to share our knowledge about sustainable agriculture education initiatives. Many materials will be available for viewing at the conference site.
The conference design concept interprets “knowledge, skills and experiences” as well as “resources” very broadly. Examples of knowledge and experiences include: students’ work organizing campus local-food systems, or faculty team teaching of interdisciplinary courses, etc. Examples of resources include: a syllabus from a course you have taught/taken; educational videos; laboratory/field manuals and activities; books; a poster describing your degree program; other instructional materials and tools used in teaching/learning sustainable agriculture, etc. The contributed material will be compiled into a Resource Directory that will form the backbone of the conference format. Don't worry - the exchange in most cases is virtual, verbal, or available digitally; you won't be asked to give away your prized hard-copy textbook!
To make this exchange of diverse resources as successful as possible, we are asking all conference attendees to let us know what types of knowledge, skills and experiences, as well as material resources you can share and/or bring to the conference. Please provide this information when you register for the conference in the designated space on the registration form. If you have already registered, please visit the registration site again and edit your registration or take the survey that will be emailed to you shortly . The conference will be a greater success with your contributions included!
We look forward to hearing about how your experiences have shaped the way you learn and teach about sustainable agriculture!
